    In this video we’ll show you how to make a simple homemade vanilla cake from scratch.

    This recipe makes 4 cups of batter.
    Ingredients:
    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (270 grams)
    3 teaspoons baking powder
    1 1/3 cups granulated sugar (265 grams)
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter (120 grams)
    1 cup milk (1%, 2% or skim) (0.237 liters)
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    Bake at 350 F for 30-35 minutes

    In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the dry ingredients. Add butter cut into small cubes, a few cubes at a time, and mix until the batter appears grainy with a sand-like texture to it. Next, add the eggs and and mix until just combined. Slowly add the milk, and the vanilla.
    Grease two 9″ round cake pans, or one 9″x13″ cake pan at 350F for 30-35 or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, remove from pan, and cool completely on a wire wrack. Frost as desired.

    Betty’s Crispy Baked Chicken Tenders

    In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Crispy Baked Chicken Tenders. These chicken tenders are great with my Favorite Chicken Dipping Sauce (which you will find in bettyskitchen).

    Ingredients:

    1 ½ pounds uncooked chicken tenderloins
    2 cups panko bread crumbs (1 ½ cups will be enough to coat 1 ½ pounds chicken. I used the extra breadcrumbs for a double-coating.)
    1 ½ teaspoons salt
    ¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
    ½ teaspoon dried rubbed sage
    ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
    ½ teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
    1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted and cooled (3/4 stick will be enough, if you are not double-coating the chicken tenders.)
    cooking oil spray

    Trim any excess fat from uncooked chicken tenderloins. Set aside. In a gallon-sized Zip-Loc bag, place 2 cups panko bread crumbs , 1 ½ teaspoons salt, ¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper, ½ teaspoon dried rubbed sage, ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves, and ½ teaspoon dried rosemary leaves. Shake Zip-Loc bag until all herbs and spices are well-distributed throughout the panko bread crumbs. Dip a chicken tender into melted butter and then place in Zip-Loc bag of seasoned panko bread crumbs. Shake well to coat. Place coated chicken tender into a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch baking dish. Repeat until all chicken tender pieces are in baking dish. Let sit for a few minutes for the coating to absorb liquid from the chicken tenders. Coat each chicken tender a second time, for extra crispy baked chicken tenders. (I sprinkled my extra coating mixture over the top of the chicken in the baking dish, and turned the pieces of chicken to distribute the additional coating.) Bake at 375 degrees (F), covered with aluminum foil for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes, turning the oven to “broil” for the last 2 minutes. Remove from the oven and place Baked Chicken Tenders on a nice serving plate. Serve with my Favorite Chicken Dipping Sauce for a great combination of flavors and textures!     This quick ground beef pasta recipe makes great use of ground beef and pasta, kids love it as well. A very good side dish for vegetable dishes, but you can have this as main course too! If you are looking for a quick and easy pasta recipe, you are in the right place. You can use any kind of pasta, spagetti or penne pastas would also be great. Very nutritious and healthy. You can garnish your ground beef pasta with a table spoon of greek yogurt or garlic sauce. Also, amount of the vegetable oil is also up to you, if you wish, you can use butter instead of vegetable oil. That would make it even more tasty. But make sure that the ground beef is fat-free. We would recommend you to boil the pasta maximum for 10 minutes, the juice of the sauce will also get the pasta softer.
    Directions for ground beef pasta recipe:
    Start by frying the minced onions Add minced meat and cook until meat is no longer pink Season with salt, black pepper and red pepper The sauce is ready, now let’s boil the pasta Add salt into the water and boil the pasta Combine the meat mixture and drained pasta
    Ingredients for Turkish pasta recipe:
    250g (9oz) pasta
    250g (9 oz) ground beef (Fatless)
    3 tbs vegetable oil
    1 onion
    2 tsp salt
    ½ tsp black pepper
    1 tsp red pepper flakes

    Healthy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies
    2 Ripe Bananas, Mashed
    1/3 C. Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter
    2/3 C. Unsweetened Applesauce
    1 Tsp. Vanilla
    1/2 Tsp. Salt
    1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
    1 1/2 C. Quick or Old Fashioned Oats
    1/4 C. Nuts (I used dry pecans.)
    1/4 C. Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
    1/4 C. Shredded Coconut

    »Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the bananas, peanut butter, applesauce, and vanilla. Add in the oats, nuts, chocolate chips, and coconut; mix until well combined.

    »Spoon a rounded 2 tbsp. of the cookie mixture onto the non-stick baking sheet, leaving an inch or two between each and flatten slightly. I placed a few more chocolate chips on top of each cookie. Bake for 15-17 minutes and allow to cool slightly.

    Coconut Oil Chocolate Fudge
    1 cup coconut oil, melted
    1/3 cup coconut milk
    1/3 cup cacao or cocoa powder
    1/3 cup honey
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    »Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth and well mixed.
    »Pour into a lined loaf 8×4 pan.
    »Refrigerate overnight.

    Baked Pears with Walnuts and Honey
    › 2 large ripe pears
    › 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
    › 2 tsp honey
    › 1/4 cup crushed walnuts

    »Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut the pears in half and place on a baking sheet (I cut a sliver off the other end so they sat upright). Using a spoon, scoop out the seeds.

    »Sprinkle with cinnamon, top with walnuts and drizzle 1/2 teaspoon honey over each one. Bake in the oven 30 minutes.

    Let’s learn how to prepare a classic international dish: the beef stew, a traditional, tasty main course which needs quite a long cooking time.

    Hi all of you friends and welcome to the giallozafferano kitchen. Today we’ll be preparing together the beef stew: this cheap meat main course has quite a long cooking time, but your whole family will like it. Let’s see together what ingredients we’ll need:
    • 4 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
    • 3 tbsp of flour
    • 2 stalks of celery
    • 1 carrot / 1 onion
    • 2,2 lbs (1 kg) of beef • pepper / salt
    • 1 oz (30 g) of butter
    • 1 glass of red wine
    • 2 pints (1 lt) of meat broth
    Let’s prepare the beef stew:
    First of all, finely chop the celery, the carrot and the onion, then brown them in a pan with melted butter and oil. Brown on a very low flame for about 10 minutes.
    10 min. — low heat
    While the mirepoix is cooking, we can move on to the meat; remove any excess fat or gristle and, if they’re quite big pieces, cut them into smaller cubes. After that, dip them in flour.
    Now add the floured pieces of meat to the sautéed vegetables… and stir constantly for 15-20 minutes until golden brown on all sides.
    15-20 min. — high heat
    When the beef is well browned… add a glass of red wine and let it evaporate.
    Now add enough broth to cover all the meat… after that, let it simmer on a very low flame for an hour and a half – 2 hours with the lid on, leaving a small opening.
    90-120 min. — low heat
    Once the meat is nice and tender and the gravy quite thick, the beef stew is ready to be served, perhaps accompanied by a lovely potato puree as a side dish. From Sonia and Giallozafferano, bye and see you next video recipe.

    Plain Soda Crackers

    1 1/2 cups bread or all-purpose flour (I used White Lily all purpose flour)
    2 1/4 tsp. yeast
    1/4 tsp. salt, plus extra for sprinkling
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2/3 cup hot water (120 – 130 degrees)
    1/2 tsp. malt syrup (I used 1/4 tsp. molasses)
    2 tbsp. vegetable shortening
    2 tbsp. melted butter

    In a large bowl mix flour, yeast, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Set aside. In a small bowl mix water, malt syrup and shortening. Stir to blend then add to flour mixture. Mix until well blended then knead for about 4 minutes until the dough is soft and elastic. Add more flour if needed. Put the dough into a butted bowl, flip over to coat all sides of the dough, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 to 18 hours. The longer the better. Roll the dough into a 18″ x 6″ rectangle which is 1/16″ thick. Fold the dough from the short ends, brushing off excess flour, to make 3 layers. Roll again to 1/16″ thickness. Cut into crackers, place on a greased cookie sheet and poke holes in the crackers to prevent them from puffing up. Sprinkle with salt if desired. Bake at 425 for 10-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush the crackers with melted butter, sprinkle with salt if desired, then place crackers on a rack to cool.

    Variations: For sesame-onion crackers, add to the dough 4 tsp. each sesame seeds and grated onion. For an herb cracker, 4 tsp. each chopped fresh parsley and chives and 1/2 tsp. dried dillweed; also try 4 tsp. caraway seeds or 2 tsp. poppy seeds.
