    In this recipe video April makes a cool, creamy dessert made with fresh fruit that you definitely will want to try. It’s also low in sugar and fat free! The best part is this recipe does not use any artificial sweeteners, it is naturally a healthy dessert. Give it a try, trust me, you AND your kids will love it!

    Serves 4

    Ingredients:

    1 lb Strawberries, stems removed
    2 Bananas, cut in 4 pieces
    2 Tbls Granulated Sugar
    1 tsp Orange Zest
    2 Tbls Fresh Orange Juice
    Optional 1/4 cup Chocolate Shavings

    Directions:

    Place sugar, orange juice, and zest in a small saucepan over medium low heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour in a bowl and place it in the refrigerator to chill.
    Meanwhile, place strawberries and bananas in a food processor, pulse until mixture is smooth.
    Place strawberry mixture in the refrigerator until both mixtures are chilled.
    Once everything is chilled, stir the two mixtures together, and pour in a frozen ice cream maker. Churn for 30 minutes, or as directed by your ice cream makes.
    If adding the chocolate, add the last minute of churning.
    Serve immediately or place in an airtight container in the freezer to save for later.

    Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to make meatballs with a Mexican flair for your next party! Everything you love about meatballs is given a southern spin here. You can serve up these Mexican appetizers with little slices of bread to dip into the flavorful sauce. Before you dive into making meatballs, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

    In a large bowl, pour in 1/2 cup of Masa Harina and 1/4 cup of warm water. Masa Harina is just a corn-based flour you can use to create authentic Mexican cuisine for these homemade meatballs.

    Stir these ingredients together and add to them 1 pound of lean ground pork, 1 pound of lean ground beef, 1 beaten egg, four cloves of minced garlic, 1-1/2 teaspoons of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Use your hands to mix everything together well and begin forming them into 1-inch cocktail meatballs, using your palms to roll them together.

    This meatball appetizer recipe should create between six to eight dozen meatballs. Place them on a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

    While the party meatballs are browning to perfection, let’s get started on the sauce. In a food processor, pour in a 28-ounce can of whole tomatoes, juice and all, along with three drained Chipotle chili peppers in adobo sauce. Puree the peppers and tomatoes together, pressing it through a sieve over a small bowl once they’re pureed to remove the tough skins.

    Pour 1 tablespoon of cooking oil into a Dutch oven over medium heat. Once the oil is heated, add to the Dutch oven 1/2 cup of finely chopped onions and two cloves of minced garlic. Cook until the onion is tender and add the meatball sauce, 1-1/2 teaspoons of instant chicken bouillon granules, and 1 teaspoon of ground cumin. Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce the heat to medium and let simmer uncovered for ten minutes. Add the meatballs to the Dutch oven to coat them and give them one last layer of flavor.

    This recipe for meatballs makes a large batch, making them perfect party appetizers to give your get together a bit of a “fiesta” flair!

    Kristi from Rada Cutlery demonstrates how to make homemade chicken alfredo pizza. This recipe uses the Rada Quick Mix Alfredo Sauce. This is a quick and easy recipe that can feed several people.

    Ingredients:

    1 12″ prepared homemade or pre-made pizza crust
    1/2 cup salsa or salsa verde
    1 to 2 cups carnitas
    1 small bunch green onions, sliced diagonally and thin
    1 red bell pepper, sliced in thin strips
    2 cups mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend cheese, shredded
    1 small bunch fresh cilantro
    1 jalapeno (if desired)

    Video Transcript:
    Hi, Kristi at the Rada kitchen, and today I’d like to share a recipe for chicken alfredo pizza. And I’m going to use the Rada Quick Mix Alfredo Sauce. I just mixed that up on the stove, it’s a package of alfredo sauce and two cups water, you bring it to a boil, and cook it about three minutes so it’s really fast and easy to make. That’s going to be our sauce. And then I had some leftover grilled chicken, some mushrooms, some green onions, and of course mozzarella cheese.

    So after you let your sauce cool a little bit, I’m going to use the Rada Soup Ladle. Now I made this pizza crust from scratch, there is another video on how to make it. I like to preheat my crust a little bit, to kind of brown it. And I made it on the Rada 15″ Pizza Stone.

    So the soup ladle makes it really easy to spread the sauce on your crust. And then to that, I’m going to add my chicken that I cut up into chunks. It’s about a pound of chicken. If you want to use non-grilled chicken, another neat thing to do is roll it in flour and cook it with some chopped up garlic, and it gives it a little extra flavor. So that was about a pound of chicken, and then on top of that, I’m going to add some mushrooms. This alfredo sauce is good over noodles too. Now, to cut these mushrooms, I’m using the Rada Utility Knife. A lot of people use it like a paring knife. It’s just the right size to cut through large potatoes, larger fruits and vegetables, or like these mushrooms, you get them in one slice. And then top it off with mozzarella cheese.

    Then to add a little color and flavor I like to add the stems of green onions. It really adds a pretty green color to it. And again, you can use the same knife. And I’m going to bake this in a 425 degree oven for about 20 minutes, and we’ll come back and see how good it looks.

    Our chicken alfredo pizza is ready to serve, and what better to cut it with than the Rada Pizza Cutter? The homemade crust is crispy on the outside, and I’m going to serve it up with the Rada Pie Server, and that’s the Chicken Alfredo Pizza that we made with the Rada Quick Mix Alfredo Sauce.

    Welcome to another Saturday Strategy!

    Today I want to talk to you about an extremely important part of my morning routine and something you should NEVER skip…

    BREAKFAST!

    The word “Break fast” literally means to “break the fast”. You’ve been sleeping hopefully for at least the last 8 hours and your body is starving for food. You’ve been recovering and you’re hormones have adjusted to make sure that you can rest properly. Now it’s time to get your hormones working toward giving you plenty of healthy energy, and having your metabolism fire!

    The typical American breakfast is so commercialized with sugar-coated cereals and other processed foods, it’s not wonder why obesity is at an all-time high…

    Of course, you all know that I love to start my morning off with a big glass of Green Juice! Starting my day by feeding my body with all those incredible phyto-nutrients is something I can not go without.

    That being said, there is something I also eat every morning that may shock you. I’ll talk a little more about that, but first, let me give you the ingredients for this week’s Break The Fast Green Juice.

    Now, I told you that I don’t just drink green juice in the morning for breakfast. I also eat something that my body happens to respond very well to. This may not work for everyone, and as always, I suggest you eat foods that work with your specific body type.

    This mystery food I’m talking about has been the source of controversy for years. But I’m here to tell you that this food, when eaten in the right portions, is actually beneficial for your cholesterol, can help fight against certain cancers, is one of the best sources of healthy fat, will give you long-lasting energy, and help you lose weight! What is this food???

    IT’S EGGS!

    I know that I may have lost some of you here, but please, give them a chance. They are absolutely incredible if they work with your dietary preferences. They don’t work for everyone, but for me, they are incredible. They’ve gotten kind of a bad rap, which I don’t think is deserving.

    Eggs contain choline, which studies have shown can help fight against breast cancer. They also contain a ton of Omega-3 fatty acids, helping satisfy your hunger, curb cravings, and feed your brain!

    Moreover, studies show that eggs are more beneficial to the cholesterol in your body, rather than adding cholesterol to one’s diet. Now, this is when eaten in the proper portions. Everyone is different and everyone’s bodies respond differently. Make sure you consult a doctor before making any major changes to your diet.

    A research from Louisiana State University concluded that the egg breakfast enhances weight loss. The inclusion of eggs in a weight management program may offer a nutritious supplement to enhance weight loss.

    Okay, now that you’ve let me babble on about breakfast, let’s get to who won the juicer!

    This stuffed squash is a wonderful recipe that can be made with any winter squash/pumpkin. In this recipe I am using a Kabocha squash. Kabocha squash is very similar in taste to pumpkin. The natural sweetness of the squash was the perfect compliment to the savory filling. This is a must try. This recipe exceeded any expectations that I had. I will be making this again. This would be a perfect Thanksgiving recipe. I can think of a million ways to make stuffed squash. I will be buying squash of all different varieties from now on.     Ingredients I used (I encourage you to experiment on your own)

    Kabocha squash
    Ground Pork
    Ground beef
    Rice
    Chopped onions
    Chopped green peppers
    Fresh rosemary
    Garlic
    egg
    ground thyme
    cumin
    salt

    About Kabocha squash:
    Kabocha is hard, has knobbly-looking skin, is shaped like a squat pumpkin, and has a dull-finished, deep green skin with some celadon-to-white stripes and an intense yellow-orange color on the inside. In many respects it is similar to the Buttercup squash, but without the characteristic cup on the blossom end. It is a member of the species Cucurbita maxima.

    An average kabocha weighs 2-3 pounds
    Kabocha has an exceptional naturally sweet flavor, even sweeter in taste than butternut squash. It is similar in texture and flavor to a pumpkin and a sweet potato combined. Some kabocha can taste like Russet potatoes. The rind of a kabocha is edible, although, some cooks may peel it to speed up the cooking process, or, to suit their personal taste preferences. Kabocha is commonly utilized in side dishes and soups, or, as a substitute for potato or other squash varieties.
    In Japan, kabocha is a common ingredient in vegetable tempura and can be made into soup.

    Bread Flour – start with 3.5 cups, add more if dough is sticky
    Instant Dry Yeast packet – 1 envelope
    Sugar – 1 tsp
    Kosher Salt – 2 tsp
    Olive Oil – 2 tbsp
    Water at 110 degrees F – 1.5 cups
    Toppings – mozzarella, red and green bell pepper, red onion, baby bella mushrooms
    Marinara Sauce
    Red Chili flakes, salt

    Greetings! Here is another great idea for a fast and delicious weeknight or any night dinner that has few ingredients which are often on special and a recipe that you will find yourself reaching for over and over again!

    This is a very simple main dish that will have your family cheering for more! Bacon strips wrapped around chicken tenders are then either pan fried or baked in a very hot oven and your main dish is ready in less than 30 minutes

    You can pair these with any side of your choice. I made a little angel hair pasta dressed with lemon garlic butter and some steamed zucchini with Greek herbs. You can reheat any leftovers the next day or eat them cold, they are wonderful and very flavorful!
