The Best Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread Recipe

I have tried many cornbread recipes and this is by far the best. It is moist and buttery and has just a hint of sweetness. Baking cornbread in a cast iron skillet is definitely the way to go. We usually serve this cornbread with soup or chili, but it is great along side so many things.

    I would love to try this GF. Though I'm not Celiac, I break out whenever I ingest gluten, so I try to avoid it completely. I had Chipotle, barbacoa bowl, on Monday and broke out bad. It's a learning process. :(

    Add a half a can or a whole  14.5 oz can of Petite Diced Tomato with Green Chilies and set it off! Delmonte all natural and most store brands sell the Petite Diced tomatoes or make your own. Girl its the bomb!

    I used almost this exact recipe . I made three batches for super bowl. A quarter cup of honey makes it stay moist. Wonderful cooking with cast iron. Oh please do not cut in a coated cast iron pan .Hate to see scratches on such a lovely pan . 🙂
