Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 lb Strawberries, stems removed
2 Bananas, cut in 4 pieces
2 Tbls Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Orange Zest
2 Tbls Fresh Orange Juice
Optional 1/4 cup Chocolate Shavings
Directions:
Place sugar, orange juice, and zest in a small saucepan over medium low heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour in a bowl and place it in the refrigerator to chill.
Meanwhile, place strawberries and bananas in a food processor, pulse until mixture is smooth.
Place strawberry mixture in the refrigerator until both mixtures are chilled.
Once everything is chilled, stir the two mixtures together, and pour in a frozen ice cream maker. Churn for 30 minutes, or as directed by your ice cream makes.
If adding the chocolate, add the last minute of churning.
Serve immediately or place in an airtight container in the freezer to save for later.

Can't wait to try this!!! Thanks for sharing it with us.
instead of an icevream maker can you just put it in the freezer
I just bought an ice cream maker with an eye toward making sugar free sorbets and maybe some ice cream? LIke you, April, I don't use artificial sweetners, but instead use De Los Yungas which is imported from Bolivia. It is an all natural sweetner made from a Birch tree It is 300 times sweeter than sugar, so you need not use too much. I will let you know how this worked out!
This video was really long for a short recipe but I'm so trying this
