PRAWN & PEA PASTA RECIPE – SORTED

This midweek meal is surprisingly elegant and can be thrown together in the time it takes to boil the pasta. The main ingredients (peas, prawns, pasta, onion) all stay in the freezer or dry store until you need them and can whipped up in no time at all. There are a lot of p’s in this dish… but that’s what makes it Perfect!

Gave this a try and the taste was great, but the cheese in the sauce clumped up and got stringy rather than creamy – any suggestions for what might have gone wrong?

  7. SORTED Food

Not sure! The only suggestion I can think of is to make sure you're using fresh parmesan.

I'm allergic to prawns, would I be able to swap them with crayfish (oddly I can eat these even though they are in the prawn family!) or even with salmon?

  12. SORTED Food

Sure, both of those should work 🙂

I don't like prawns … Can I put a different kind of fish in the sauce?

  17. JYNaRa2fly

I told a friend once that prawns and fish dishes are usually fancy and she looked at me like I grew a second head. Guess my culture is based largely on foreign origins and she did not get what I meant?
