Broccoli and cauliflower are very, very closely related, so you are correct in calling it 'white broccoli' 😉 My mother had the same Revere Ware saucepans 55 years ago that you use today! :-0 Wow! She also used to put in a little cooked 'white broccoli' in with her potatoes and then mashed them all together 🙂 <sigh> those were the days! Just seems logical – I too always think of cauliflower as "the white broccoli." I consider them evil twins and often even throw them in together.
