  • Ice-Cream Punch – Beverages and Drinks Recipes

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    2 qt. vanilla ice cream

    1-1/2 cup cold water

    1 12 oz can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

    1 2-liter bottle of 7-Up, chilled

    Spoon ice cream by tablespoonfuls into a large punch bowl. Add

    water and lemonade concentrate; stir just till combined. Slowly

    pour 7-Up down the side of bowl. Stir gently to mix. Makes 32

    servings.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1 large frozen orange juice

    1 large can pineapple juice

    1 litter lemon-lime soda

    All ingredients should be cold. Make the orange juice according to

    instructions. Add to rest of ingredients. This makes a large punch

    bowl’s worth.

    Variations:

    1. Float frozen strawberries

    2. Make frozen fruit ring

    3. Place sherbet in bottom of bowl and pour punch ingredients over sherbet

    4. Substitute cranberry or cran-raspberry juice for pineapple juice.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1 gallon Hawaiian Punch

    two-liter bottle 7-up

    1/2 gallon pineapple sherbet

    Mix the Hawaiian Punch and 7-up to taste and add spoonfulls of

    sherbet. It’s great because you don’t have to make it ahead of

    time, and you can keep adding the ingrediants as needed throughout

    the party to keep the punch bowl full.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    2 liters apple juice

    1 liters black currant cocktail

    1 liters orange juice (sweetened or unsweetened)

    2-750 ml bottles of 7-Up

    Combine all the ingredients except 7-Up and chill thoroughly. At

    serving time place in a large punch bowl and slowly add the 7-Up.

    One bottle of sparkling wine "can" be added for a pleasant

    variation.

  • My Sweet Sixteen Fruit Punch – Beverages and Drinks Recipes

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    Dad made this punch for me for my 16th birthday. Since then it’s been a

    family favorite over the years. The recipe has always been requested by all

    who taste it. I didn’t have sangria in it then 🙂

    2 lemons thinly sliced

    2 oranges thinly sliced

    2 limes, thinly sliced

    2 cartons of frozen strawberries

    2 large cans of berry fruit drink or canned red fruit punch

    1 qt ginger ale

    1/2 to 1 qt sangria wine ( optional for sangria punch )

    1/2 gallon sherbet: ( lemon, lime, raspberry or orange)

    1 ice ring ( optional ):

    1 quart ginger ale

    mint leaves

    pitted cherries or grapes

    Thinly slice fruit and place in a large punch bowl. Add the canned fruit

    punch or red berry drink, ginger ale, strawberries and wine if using. Float

    sherbet balls atop punch. Note: if using ice ring , add before placing in

    the sherbet. For ice ring, fill a ring mold halfway with ginger ale and add

    mint leaves, grapes etc and freeze firm. Add more ginger ale to cover and

    freeze firm again. The ring will keep punch cold and the liquid will

    dilute into the punch. Recipe makes one gallon.

    1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream

    1/2 gallon rainbow sherbet

    1 large can pineapple juice

    2 liters Sprite or 7-UP

    Mash ice cream and sherbet together in punch bowl. Add pineapple juice and

    soda.

    2 Cans frozen lemonade (6 oz)

    -divided use

    5 c ;water; divided use

    14 Whole strawberries

    14 Pineapple chunks

    1 c Triple Sec or other

    Orange-flavored liqueur

    2 Bottles champagne; chilled

    -750 milliliter size

    Preferably the day before serving, mix 1 can frozen lemonade

    concentrate with 3 cups water, pour over ice cub trays, freeze.

    Thread toothpicks with 1 whole strawberry and 1 pineapple chunk,

    cover and refrigerate. Immediately before serving, in a punch bowl,

    combine the second can of lemonade, 2 cups water, liqueur and

    prepared ice cubes. Gently add chilled champagne, stir and serve.

    Garnish each champagne glass with skewer of fresh fruit. Yield 14

    servings.

    Ingredients

    1 quart pineapple juice

    1 pkg (2 qt) lime Kool-aid

    1 qt lime sherbet

    2 qts ginger ale

    Mix Kool-aid in punch bowl. Add pineapple juice. Just before serving, add

    sherbet by spoonfuls. Add ginger ale. For red punch, use raspberry

    Kool-aid and sherbet.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    Yields 80 portions of 4 oz each.

    3 qt cranberry juice

    3 qt pineapple juice ( 2 46 oz cans)

    1 qt Lemonade, frozen, undiluted (1 32 oz can)

    1 qt cold water

    Mix all of above together and chill

    Just before serving, add 3 28 oz bottles of chilled gingerale

    This is a basic recipe. You can substitute types of juice as you see fit.

    I have tried a cranberry-raspberry mix and a cranberry orange variation.

    Put fruit punch,lemonade,orange juice,grape juice, and water in

    large punch bowl and stir together. Pour ginger ale in carefully.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1-12 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate

    1-12 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate

    1-48 oz. can apricot nectar

    1-48 oz. can pineapple juice

    1-2 liter bottle ginger ale

    Dilute the orange juice and lemonade as directed on can. Mix with remaining

    ingredients. Yield: about 2 gallons. When I serve this as a punch at

    showers, birthday parties, etc. it is a really big hit. Very tasty and

    thirst quenching. I fix it once a week or so in the summer just for my

    family.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1- 12 ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate (thawed)

    1- 6 ounce can frozen lemonade (thawed)

    1- 32 ounce bottle cranberry juice cocktail, chilled

    Add these to the punchbowl and stir. Then SLOWLY pour in

    1- 2 litre bottle Sprite

    TIP:

    Make one batch the day before you plan to use it and freeze it in your

    jello ring. Use that to ice your punch in the punchbowl so that as it

    melts, it does not dilute the punch.

    You may wish to add maraschino cherries or other decorative fruit to the

    ring prior to freezing.

  • 4-Fruit (Wedding) Punch – Beverages and Drinks Recipes

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    This recipe contains no carbonation and no ice cream.

    I have not tried it spiked, but you could probably add

    rum to it (I’m not up on alcohol, but I believe that’s

    supposed to be good in punch). This is our family’s

    punch recipe–we serve it for all special occasions.

    I will give what I think are the proportions first,

    then I’ll give the exact amounts my mother-in-law

    uses for the 11 people in our extended family.

    4-Fruit (Wedding) Punch

    2 parts orange juice

    2 parts lemonade

    1 part pineapple juice

    1 part grapefruit juice (optional, but gives a nice tang)

    One Batch, according to "Mom"

    2 qts. Lemonade from a mix, prepared

    (she uses Country Time brand)

    1 12-oz. can frozen orange juice, reconstituted

    1/2 of 1 "tall can" frozen pineapple juice, reconstituted

    1/2 of 1 "tall can" grapefruit juice, reconstituted (optional)

    *Sorry, I don’t know the size of the "tall can", but it’s

    the standard U.S. size that is larger than the 12-oz.-can size.

    Prepare lemonade.

    Reconstitute orange juice, pineapple juice,and grapefruit juice,

    according to package directions, and in separate containers.

    Add lemonade to punch bowl.

    Add all of the orange juice,

    1/2 (up to 3/4) of the pineapple juice,

    and 1/2 of the grapefruit juice.

    Slice thin orange wheels and float on top for a festive look.

    Cherries would also look nice.

  • Nonalcoholic Party Punch – Beverages and Drinks Recipes

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    Makes about 3 gallons

    2 bottles ( 1-1/2 quarts each) Mauna L’ai guava/passion-fruit drink

    2 bottles (1-1/2 quarts each) cranberry juice cocktail

    2 quarts grapefruit juice

    3 bottles (1 liter each) ginger ale

    4 or 5 limes, halved lengthwise and cut into thin slices

    1. In a large punch bowl, blend together juices and ginger ale. Add 2 trays

    ice cubes and the lime slices.

    2. To serve, put 2 or 3 ice cubes in glass or cup and ladle on the punch,

    making sure everyone gets a slice of lime.

    I made this for a dinner party for 45. The other beverage choice was water

    and there seems to be just enough punch for everyone.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    2 12-oz cans frozen pink (or yellow) lemonade concentrate

    1 12-oz can frozen limeade concentrate

    1 46-oz can pineapple juice

    3 lemonade cans cold water

    1 2-liter bottle 7-up (or your favorite)

    Mix it all together, add some pretty ice rings, mint leaves, etc. for

    decoration. Makes about 6 quarts.

    Nice refreshing lime/pineapple taste, easy to keep extra makings in

    reserve.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    All purpose punch (US mongrel measures)

    1 2-liter bottle clear pop (club soda, gingerale, lemon-lime or similar)

    1 12-oz can frozen orange juice

    1 can (42 oz? more than a quart anyway) pineapple juice

    Reconstitute the orange juice in the punch bowl, add the pineapple juice

    and soda pop. Add an ice ring. Makes about 5 qts (l) per batch. If you

    want a more orangey-red color the new raspberry ginger ale flavor (pink)

    also tastes good. Notice this is not too sweet. If you have a good size

    punch bowl a bundt cake pan molds an ice ring that will last several hours

    before it melts unless it is 100F in the shade. Congratulations!

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    Sunny Holiday Punch

    1 can (46-oz) Dole Pinapple Juice, chilled

    1 bottle (28-oz) mineral water or club soda, chilled

    1 can (6-oz) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

    1 lemon or lime, thinly sliced

    2 cups fresh or frozen berries

    1 bottle (750ml) chilled champagne, optional (Note: I substitute a bottle

    of 7-UP here)

    Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl.

    Another note: I find this punch to be a little on the tart side so I

    add a tablespoon or 2 of sugar to the mix.

    GOLDEN GLOW PUNCH

    25 servings (about 1/2 cup each)

    (For more servings, just keep the same proportions. The book also suggests

    using 2 large punch bowls when serving 150, and putting a different flavor

    of sherbet in each bowl.)

    1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

    1 can (6 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

    1 quart apple juice, chilled

    2 quarts ginger ale, chilled

    1 pint lemon or orange sherbet, if desired

    Ice Ring (instructions following), if desired

    – Pour the concentrate and the apple juice into the punch bowl.

    – Stir the ginger ale into the bowl.

    – Spoon in sherbet or add an Ice Ring.

    – Serve immediately.

    ICE RING

    Requirements:

    – A ring mold (one that fits into the punch bowl you’ll be using)

    – Fruit slices

    – Water

    Instructions:

    – Arrange thin overlapping slices of lime, orange, and lemon in a ring mold.

    – Pour water into mold to partially cover fruit (about 1/4 inch); freeze.

    – When frozen, add more water to fill mold 3/4 full; freeze.

    – Unmold ring and float fruit side up in punch.

    – For a crystal-clear ice ring, boil and cool the water before pouring

    into mold.

    – For a more colorful ring, add about 1/3 cup cranberries with the fruit

    slices, or alternate fruit slices and whole strawberries in the mold.

    – Carnations, roses, mums, or other flowers can be frozen in an ice ring,

    too. Wash flowers, remove stems, and place blossom side down in mold.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1 pineapple

    400mls coconut cream

    10 mint leaves

    12 ice cubes

    850ml can pineapple juice

    mint sprigs, strawberries

    Peel and slice pineapple, reserving some slices for garnish. Put

    remaining pineapple into a food processor with the coconut cream

    and mint leaves. Process, dropping the ice through the feed tube,

    until well blended. Half fill a glass with coconut mixture and

    top with pineapple juice. Garnish with reserved pineapple, mint

    sprigs and strawberries. Makes 1 1/2 litres.

    30 ml white Rum

    30 ml caruba

    30 ml coconut cream

    60 ml pineapple juice

    60 ml cream

    slice of pineapple

    Blend ingredients over ice and strain into a large glass. Decorate

    blend, serve in exotic glass ~~Blend. Serve. ~~ pineapple

    ** Pina Colada – Ultimate **

    6 oz pineapple juice (fresh squeezed)

    1.5 oz sweetened coconut milk, recepie below.

    2.5 oz Dark Rum (Myers)

    Blend as above. To make

    coconut milk: Scald some milk. Let it cool somewhat. In a blender, blend

    in as much fresh coconut meat as possible. Let the mixture cool in the

    fridge. Squeeze thru cheesecloth.

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1 ounce peppermint schnapps

    (100 proof)

    6 ounces prepared hot

    chocolate

    Whipped cream

    1 teaspoon green creme de

    menthe

    Pour schnapps into a preheated mug or

    large wine glass. Add the hot choco-

    late. Garnish with whipped cream and

    drizzle with creme de menthe.

    1 large fresh peach peeled and cut up in big chunks

    2 packets of sweet and Low (or real sugar)

    1 cup skim milk (or whole milk)

    Put all in blender and blend. This produces a thick and

    delicious milkshake.

    Makes 2 1/2 pints.

    1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

    1 c. Peach Schnapps

    1 c. heavy or whipping cream

    3/4 c. vodka

    4 eggs

    1 tsp. vanilla

    1/4 tsp. almond extract

    Combine all in a blender until smooth. Pour into bottles and refrigerate

    overnight. Shake well. Store up to 1 month.

    (In a pretty bottle, they’re great for festive winter gifts!)

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    1 medium sized ripe pawpaw

    6 oz sugar

    1 teaspoon grated ginger or 1 or 2 fresh limes

    Slice, peel and crush a medium sized ripe pawpaw. To every pint of

    crushed fruit, add 2 pints water, stir thoroughly and strain. Sweeten to

    taste and chill or add cracked ice. A small bit of ginger, grated or a

    dessertspoon of juice from fresh green limes will improve the flavour.

    Mango Drink may be made similarly.

  • ORANGE JULIUS – Beverages and Drinks Recipes

    Recipe ingredients and directions:

    Once I got this recipe, I never bought another Orange Julius. These are

    much better, IMHO!

    ORANGE JULIUS

    6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate

    1 cup milk

    1 cup water

    1/2 cup sugar (this is *way* too much, IMO….I use 1 Tablespoon, if any)

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    8-9 ice cubes

    Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in blender. Blend for about 1-2

    minutes, adding ice cubes one at a time.

    I’ve used other frozen juice flavors….some of the tropical blends are

    great! You can also increase the milk and decrease the water to make it

    richer. Or add an egg. (I *lived* on these after having my wisdom teeth

    pulled! They’re also great if you have a sore throat….with an egg for

    protein, you get a fairly nutritious drink!)
