Vegan Chili | Perfect for Game Day (Superbowl Sunday)

This Vegan Chili is perfect for your Superbowl party! Your guests won’t even miss the meat. Shoot, they may even mistake the TVP *for* meat 🙂

Here’s the TVP article on Wikipedia. It’s Textured Vegetable Protein, defatted (I call it dehydrated) soy flour.

I think it would taste fine, probably the same really.

  2. tempraryable

    what is tvp?

  3. Sössö Mössö

A few pinches of cinnamon makes chili even better

  4. Vegan Cooking with Love

Dawn has it! 🙂 Textured Vegetable Protein – It’s dehydrated soy.

    It is 🙂

I picked up TVP at the supermarket for the first time today! Great-looking
recipe. Can’t wait to try it 🙂

Yes, it’s so versatile! And so quick – just rehydrate it and you’re good to
go. I used it in my taco recipe that I posted a while ago. I’ll also be
using it in an upcoming video for Mardi Gras!

Looked it up. “textured vegetable product” made from soy flour.

Just made this last night because I like my chili a day old to let the
flavors marinate a bit. Couldn’t resist tasting it last night. Had two
bowls and made some vegan cornbread with it! This was delicious. My kids
loved it even with the tvp. They are not vegan so I added a little cheddar
cheese and they ate it up. Thanks for another great recipe in time for the
    game.

That tvp was a nice touch- rounded out the beans very nicely. Grateful to
be subscribed to your channel! I think next time I might try taking tempeh
and cutting it up into super tiny pieces and adding it in.

TVP is soy which is not good for you due to its phytoestrogen, especially
    bad for men. Not cool.

This looks delicious, will make it this week.

I made a vegan country chili if you want the recipe I can send it to you
    through this thread

Very nice recipe and great video editing! I put in a cup of red lentils
instead of the TVP and it worked great.
