I am making these today! My poor husband wont even be able to sit next to
me with all those spices though. It will only be me and my 7 year old
    daughter eating them.

Instead of liquid smoke. .Cold smoke the eggs in apple chips. You get a
sweet, spicy, sour egg that is soo good.

Is anyone else disturbed by the cannibalistic pig? LOL,

    I’m a woman, I’m still watching, but I don’t shoot whisky. I love pickled
eggs AND spice. My mate on the other hand, doesn’t like spice though so I
have to do two different batches if I want spicy pickled eggs.

Are these canned eggs stored in the refrigerator or are they shelf-stable?
Thanks for the post—only one I’ve seen that actually cans the eggs.

Ok, you broke sterile tech. several times but besides that, i love the way
you hot bathed the eggs. Could not a find a recipe like that on the tube
and i like STERILE! So, I’m doing it and converting my snooty sushi eaten
friends into these little jems. i’ll be sure to mention you, my good cook!

Those metal lids have a compound that forms a tight seal to the jar edge
when used for the first time. After use, since there is an indentation
after being opened, it will not re conform to another jar top, therefore a
complete seal is uncertain, and subjects the contents to microorganism
contamination, and the food to spoilage. There is a company that makes
reusable lids, using rubber rings and regular band. The cost of a dozen
single use lids I have found at our Walmart, is slightly over $2.00 and is
cheap compared to the risk of food contamination.
