you are talkıng too much
You very well have saved my turkey. I’m in the process of roasting, it’s
the perfect brown color I want that turkey to be. Your idea of tenting the
bird with tinfoil I’m using now.
Next time I cook a turkey, (or a goose!) I’m coming back for a refresher
course!
Geez,,,what a relief. Your method seems do-able. Many thanks!
love the video Jan. YOU’RE ACES & SO ADORABLE!!!!
Hello Jan! Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for the video, I will try it until
Christmas since I live in Mexico and we do not celebrate Thanksgiving..
Quick question.. on the first stage of the Turkey in the oven… to turn it
GOLD… did you set besides the high temperature a “broil” or a similar
setting in the oven? or was it only in the normal “bake” mode… only high
temperature..?
Thank you!!
I savor the honesty of this video. Best turkey I ever roasted, and it’s
all about the simple techniques compellingly described here. Jan, you
remind of all the lovely southern ladies in my family: charm and wisdom
without putting on airs. It was a revelation that you don’t need to slow
roast for 14 hours to get a great turkey. Many thanks :)
Not sure about the 500 degree thing. I used peanut oil and I filled my
house with smoke
and the inside of my stove is all splattered with oil!
Hi Jan, I’m looking forward to trying your method for my first turkey. Only
thing is I’m deboning the turkey as you showed in your other video. If I
stuff it and stitch it up, whats the difference in cooking time? Where can
I buy the heat/meat thermometer?
Hi Jan, thanks for the video.
One question though: if I don’t have one of those oven thermometers, is
there an optional method to check the internal temperature of the turkey
without having to open the oven often to check?
Well Jan, I have to thank you for this!!! Hands down BEST turkey I have
ever made!!!! Loved it! So glad I found your videos, thanks again!
Stuffing is good but never cook it in the turkey. Anytime you eat
something that was cooked inside the turkey you have chance of disease.
Great work! Please make more videos! Thank You!
Jan, thank you for this recipe. I used it last year and am using it again
this year. Putting the turkey in at 500 for 30 min makes the biggest
difference. By far your video has been my go to for cooking my turkey. Easy
and to the point! Thanks!
I think that she has BY FAR the best videos for how to cook a turkey on
youtube. Like some of the other comments have mentioned, her method does
actually seem doable, and she should most definitely have her own show!
MMMM I can’t hardly wait to get the Turkey in the oven.
Happy Thanksgiving and I hope I can find one of those oven thermometers
like yours in the video!
best, and I mean the best video on roasting a turkey! If mine doesn’t fit
into my roaster, i;m gonna do it like you do!
u could have just tucked the wings behind the back of the turkey, thats
what i do and the only thing i end up tying is the legs together.
Hi Jan I’m trying to omit bread and use potatoes and veggies question can I
mix and stuff few potatoes in the bird?
Thank you!
Happy New Year.
What is brine and how do you brine the turkey?
Jan, I can’t find the recipe on that website.
