I absolutely love this “Turkish sticky Rice” (as we call it), it is
something I miss from Turkey and always insist on having it when we are
    there.

@magicadespell56 Adding chicken breast or shredded meat will definitely
turn this quick and easy rice pilaf into main meal. I usually serve tomato
salad or refreshing yogurt drink with it. Thanks for your input. Mariette

@thatbastardson You can fry the rice too if you like, but first fry the
orzo to obtain this beautiful golden color, then add the rice, fry it for 5
to 10 seconds, and then add the water.

day when i was young ! its cheap and good- i add shredded chicken breast to
it to make it more of a meal- with lots of black pepper—everyone should
try to make this big flavor little work! yum x shelly

This is the rice I grew up with… well the vermicelli version. Plain rice
is too boring for me now 🙂

You guys rock! Never have expensive ingredients or too many ingredients.
Very simple, cheap and yummy !

@catris I agree with you. I cook plane rice only when I am cooking with
different spices to accompany certain dishes like roasted turkey for
    example. Mariette

why not toast all your noodles, if you’re going to toast orzo…….

as usual? why the butt pain.

You call it “turkish sticky rice” but it is not turkish. As usual the turks
steal other people’s food and culture and then they think it belongs to
    them. lol
