Pulled BBQ Chicken Crockpot Recipe

This post may contain affiliate links.

Doesn’t get much easier than this. All you need is a crockpot, chicken breast and a bbq sauce of your choice.

Simply put the chicken breast in the crockpot and cover with sauce. Set the crockpot on low and allow to cook for 6 hours. At this time shred the chicken. You can either eat it as is, or for more flavor, put it back in the crockpot for 2 more hours. Either way, it’s a great easy meal (and leaves plenty of leftovers).

Just a helpful tip. To help the chicken absorb more flavour from the BBQ
sauce, pierce the raw chicken breasts repeated with a fork before placing
it the crockpot. Its the same principle that is used when marinating
    chicken.
    Thanks for the video!

why not just cook it in water… then pull some of the chicken stock out
when you are done and mix it with the BBQ in a frying pan in the last 5
minutes… the BBQ sauce doesn’t really penetrate the meat anyways when
    its cooking.

Trying this for dinner tonight Brandon. Thanks for the rundown. My breasts
seem a little more frozen then yours looked so I may let it cook for
    longer.

Hey Brandon I have frozen chicken breasts from a box, do I need to defrost
them or can I just do what you did there and maybe put it in longer?

Looks like a good recipe..but if you’re trying to cook healthy food why
would you pour sugary salty bbq sauce all over it. …also why cut the fat
off – fat is good for you.If you’re slow cooking chicken you’re always
better off with chicken thigh – doesn’t dry out .
