The first is a deep fried frog burger, available at a museum in Yokohama, available as a tie-in to a current exhibit about poisonous animals. We should be glad whatever committee was in charge of these things opted for a frog burger, instead of a spider burger. This isn’t some wussy frog leg burger. No sir! The shop is deep frying up whole frogs, and slapping them on black burger buns. Remember black burger buns? Apparently, they’re every bit as popular as deep fried frogs in Japan.
Also being served up in an entirely separate part of Japan are rice bowls with horse meat. While this may be an uncomfortable topic for some of our viewers, you can console themselves with the knowledge of these horse rice bowls are a great value! What’s that? That doesn’t help at all?

horses are very well cared for cattle. we’ve been wasting food for over 100
years just because some children got attached. I would not mind eating it
I’m disappointed. I expected a bunch of frogs thrown is grinder and being
molded into a patty. This is infinitely less interesting, get your shit
together Japan.

I think I’m a bit of a hypocrite on this one, because I don’t think I’d eat
horse meat because I love them so much. But on the flip side I love pigs,
but they are also delicious.

It makes not sense that horse meat is illegal here in America. It’s no
different than eating cow :/
I’m from the uk so I don’t really have a say as I have probably already
eaten horse meat by accident. It must be good if I still have not objected.
horse meat is not bad at all, as I know. Is illegal because of the fear to
buy horse meat from horse racing which have appanently too many drugs and
anabolics in them. The IKEA scandal with horse meatballs is not forgotten.
Free range horse meat is ok.

im kinda confused here, if they deep fried the whole frog and put buns on
it how do you eat it? the bones are still in the frog.
I’ve had the raw horse meat sashimi.
It was…. chewy…
I ate horse meat, it’s good although it can be a bit rough depending on
what the horse was doing before it got turned into steak. I’m from
Slovenia, we don’t generally eat horses, they are considered a delicacy, I
think there’s a horse burger joint in the capital though. We sell all our
horses to Italy, because those fuckers love them some horse.
I prefer venison to horse meat though.

Why would you not want to try it? It has four legs and fur and a face,
just like most other meats you eat (modified for poultry and seafood).
Horse meat is fucking delicious, it’s the one thing I regret about moving
to north america (not being able to eat horse meat, that is).
Idk if I’ll eat a horse, never thought about it. I would eat a human though
