Ingredients for Chicken Adobo:
2 lbs. chicken
4-5 dried bay leaves
6 tablespoons of soy sauce
2-3 tablespoons of vinegar
2 tablespoons of garlic
1-2 cups of water
1/4 cup of cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
salt and pepper to taste

    Hey Dee, I made this for dinner tonight and mine came out much darker than yours, almost black. I used the regular kikoman soy sauce and it was yummy but too salty and I didn't add extra salt. Next time I may try low sodium soy sauce or just less of it to get a lighter colored gravy like yours. Thanks for the recipe

    I agree my great grandma is from the phillippine and she made it from a family reunuon / dinner it was the bomb.com one of my fav too. The dessert she made that was just life was the Turin saba and the maruya

    Hi Dee! So I made this dish tonight, and it was a hit! The only things I changed was instead of the sugar, I used honey instead and no salt added. Super delicious meal that I will be taking with me to college. Thanks for sharing!
