Join Ariane Daguin & Chef Wylie Dufresne at wd-50 in NYC for a foie gras lesson. Ariane demonstrates the simplicity of making a classic foie gras terrine, and shares tips that will give you the confidence to try it at home.

Chef Wylie dazzles with his signature, complex preparation of a foie gras torchon that is cured for weeks before it highlights a bowl of his Pho Gras. D’Artagnan is an excellent company and sells to some of the best
restaurants in the world. I just ordered some Foie Gras for Christmas day,
to serve as an appetizer. It is very rich and expensive as well, but worth
it. Anthony Bourdain has a video on youtube visiting Ariane Daguin’s farm
and they show the way the ducks are raised and fed. I would definitely
recommend their products, as they are the highest quality.

They have such wonderful chemistry! I love that last line “It’s your
    kitchen.” “It’s your bread.”

btw all you people saying this stuff is evil cruel it’s only some producers
that harm thread animals. God put animals here for a reason, to eat.

What kind of inhumane “humans” are these chefs and those that eat foie gras
produced in this abhorrent way? If one can’t leave without foie gras there
are humane and normal ways to produce it although the liver will not get
that fatty. But the animals will be able to live a normal and natural
life. While I accept for myself to eat meat I do NOT accept to eat it from
tortured animals. It’s enough that they give their lifes. Goodness me –
haven’t we advanced a bit since the cave days?! On the contrary – our
forefathers didn’t do that. It takes us “advanced and enlightened” first
world people to come up with something so disgusting!
