Am I the only one who likes the crust that forms on top of custard?? Seems
like it, bit I think the crust is the best bit ^.^

i tired making this pie twice and it won’t set any tips on how to make it
    set?

I made this pie last night n it just did not set! It’s so disappointing
because I was looking forward to eating a delicious dessert! I think that
the measurements are off. Also the recipe calls for salt n there’s no
    measurement.

Questions. 1. Would it taste good if you added coconut extract. 2. Why do
you use vanilla extract sometimes, and sometimes use vanilla paste. I’ve
never used vanilla paste-does it give more depth of vanilla flavor? Thanks

  6. Rosalinda Reyna

it would be easier if you give measures of the recipe when you do it

+Laura in the Kitchen I’ve noticed in most of your videos that you directly
place the plastic wrap on top of your hot custard. It definitely helps in
not forming that weird skin but the plastic tends to “melt” when you expose
it to direct heat and trickles into your custard! Yes, and that’s
cancerous(!!!) coz your’re consuming plastic! Not the best thing you’d want
to hear but please next time just use aluminium foil instead of the
plastic! It works just as well. Thanks.

Too sweet! i think just 1/4 cup of sugar is enough…
Also freshly schredded coconut adds more flavor.

i’ve never tasted it or seen it :D

I totally flopped my pie. I landed up eating it like pudding in a bowl. The
custard did not set up (24 hours). It was soupy. :(

Laura, my wife always uses unsweetened coconut and it comes out perfect,
the sweetened coconut seemed to make it a little too sweet. Try it, I’m
not a pie eater but this one is my one became one of my all time favorite
    deserts
