    freaking good

You should have mentioned that you used steel cut oats where 1 portion is
1/4 a cup whereas regular quick oats is 1/2 a cup. Great recipe though ;)

  10. Jacky Winchester

So there’s raw flour in the crumble?

I’m going to do this but instead of cutting the apple into bite size pieces
I’m going to grate it into my porridge and stir it through with some mashed
banana and instead of the crumble topping I’m going to add raisins,
cinnamon and brown sugar for the sweetness and mix them all through so
they’re incorporated throughout the porridge at the end. So then it’ll make
a sort of apple cinnamon raisin porridge with a subtle caramel flavour from
the brown sugar. Yum <3 I might even add in some poppy seeds because I love
the texture it gives porridge. And apple cinnamon raisin will be a nice
change from the banana coconut blueberry trio I usually eat.

One thing you have to try (this is sort of my dessert weekend porridge) is
chocolate porridge with bitter orange marmalade. I stir in some organic
Green and Black’s hot choc mix and add a generous spoonful of the marmalade
at the end. Got the recipe from Jamie Oliver and it’s my go to weekend
porridge when I’m in the mood for a treat breakfast <3
