Sour Cream Orange Cookies
Food Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 1/4 cups flour 1 cup dairy sour cream 3/4 cup chopped walnuts Orange frosting: 2 cups confectioner’s sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons grated orange zest 3 tablespoons orange juice 2 tablespoons soft butter
Recipe preparation:
1 Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, soda, vanilla and salt; beat well. Mix in about half the flour, then add the sour cream; blend well. Stir in remaining flour and nuts. Drop by the rounded teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. 2 To make the frosting, combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl; beat until smooth and creamy.
