Healthy Korean Spicy Braised Chicken Stew aka DakBokkeumtang

Serving: 4-6 persons Cooking Time 30 minutes

Ingredients:

4 large chicken breast meat
3 medium size potato but you can use one sweet potato to substitute for sugar
1 bunch of sliced green onion or 4 stalks
2 tablespoon of minced garlic or whole garlic
1 tablespoon of minced ginger
2-3 sliced jalapeno pepper and this is what makes the stew spicy.
½ to 1 cup of soy sauce depending on the type of soy sauce so it’s up to you.
½ to 1 cup of water or preferable green tea
2 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon of rice cooking wine or mirin
1-2 tablespoon of Korean red chili powder
Pinch of ground black pepper to your taste
1-2 teaspoon of sugar or add one sweet potato as a sugar substitute
