I'm coming to you since *no one else* seems to have the answer, and I've learned to depend on you. If you have NO fresh fruit, and you're trying to fake a cobbler with canned fruit (like apricots; peaches with muscles, in my book) how to you thicken up the juice to add to the fruit? I love the *taste* I'm getting, but I'm tired of being asked to make "apricots and dumpings," or "apricot soup." Any notions?
    Thanks,
    Vickie
    PS
I'm from Oklahoma; grew up with Mom's sausage gravy, so thanks!

If you go to Hilah's site and find this recipe, it gives tips on using canned fruit.

I made this today and it was delicious! Thanks for the recipe! I screwed up the measurements for the butter, though, and had to pour off A LOT of butter. Using the metric system makes you stupid…

After watching this video, I ran downstairs to the kitchen and made this recipe. I halved it since I'm the only one in my home who likes peaches. (Go figure). The smell while baking was insane! This makes the moistest cobbler ever! This was the first cobbler recipe I've made that didn't have an egg in it. But I didn't miss it at all. Really delicious…will definitely be making this over and over again! Thanks again Hilah!!
