PASTA WITH BROCCOLI RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1 x 500grm packet of pasta (orrecchiette or small shape such as penne)
1 x large head of broccoli chopped into small flowerettes
1/2 x glass olive oil
1 x tablespoon finely diced garlic
6 x anchovy fillets
METHOD:
-boil 5 x litres of water
-boil pasta and broccoli together (till partially cooked),adding the broccoli to the boiling the water and pasta 4 – 5 minutes after the pasta has been added to the water
-while pasta and broccoli are cooking, heat oil in a pan then add the garlic and anchovies and cook until the anchovies have nearly dissolved then place aside
-once pasta is cooked, strain together with the broccoli, (retaining some of the water) and remove the broccoli and place in a blender
-add cooked garlic and anchovies to broccoli then blend till chunky/smooth texture
-add blended mixture to pasta, stirring and amalgamating the flavours
-if it is dry add some of the retaining pasta cooking water
-serve immediately when correct blend is achieved.

I love broccoli and the idea of using a blender on them but for me I like
seeing the ruff textures of broccoli in the pasta.
Never tried using anchovies, I will now thanks for the tip
