Chef I've purchased here in American a generic curry powder.. One is yellow the other is red,  can I use these as a rub for my chicken ?   I've looked up curry chicken recipes using curry powder and coconut milk but I do understand curry is a blend of spices and the jarred stuff isn't authentic. I was thinking a marinade for chicken but I tried the spice raw and it doesn't have much taste.. With cooking it in perhaps oil open the spices up and create a better taste ? Thanks !! The brand I bought by the way is McCormicks .
