Stew or Ishtu is a favorite side dish for breakfast in South India. Vegetables are cooked in thick coconut milk based gravy. Goes well with Idly or Dosa.

    hai,,,,this is the first time i did this recipe (palappam also) and so
    loved every body,even some of my north indian friends also.i felt i was in
    home, when the smell pop out…picked some photos to show my mom and
    wife.they will be excited,bcs i never enter the kitchen before unless to
    taste or comment,,,

    Hi Mohamed, In this method, you need not blanch the vegetables….

    Hi… Grate coconut and squeeze and strain it without adding water. This is
    1st coconut milk. Then add a little water to the squeezed coconut and grind
    it in a mixer. Again squeeze and strain it. Now u will get 2nd coconut
    milk…. The first one will be thick. You need to add this at the end….
