No cinnamon?
After 1:20 seconds discussing bread, sooooooooo, really any bread will
work.
In Germany its Food for poor People
Looks great and I’ve never tried adding vanilla but he ruined it by
drowning it in butter and maple syrup, that would totally overpower the
nice sweet taste of the bread. Diabetes man
You may be a good cook, but I really dislike your French toast…
mine turned out great with regular bread
Directions wasn’t clear. Got dog stuck in the whisk.
I make my french toast similar to this – not exactly. Eggs, milk,
cinnamon, and yes vanilla. Plus, I usually just use a regular type of
bread – some plane ol’ sandwich, square cut wheat or even white. They’re a
little too thin if you’re really concerned about presentation though. For
more special occasions, I would recommend a different bread – something
more exotic that you can cut about an inch thick or so. I would also
recommend using a bread that doesn’t have a naturally strong flavor that
will overpower everything else.
The thing about it is you don’t need a lot of syrup at all. I like a
little syrup… just a little. The toast itself will already be very moist
and flavorful, but the hint of maple will add to it.
I highly recommend not drowning your french toast in that much syrup.
Also… I don’t know about that butter and cooking liquor drizzled over
it. I’ve never done it, but it seems like that would be unnecessary. It
will already be a very rich dish… no need it making it so rich you can’t
actually eat it.
Would prefer a little less syrup, but this is a really good recipe! Thanks
for sharing!
Meh braces or Hovis bread will do me
This is French toast high class style, I was just looking for basic recipes

I think Texas toast is the best for making french toast. I would recommend
staying away from this thing as long as you eat this in moderation. It has
no benefit to your health and it is mostly starch and sugar…
Aint no body got time for daaat.
Never thought about adding vanilla extract, will have to try it. I find
syrup overpowers the toast. Try powdered sugar instead.

He looks like John Reilly (Dale) Off Step Brothers.
Almonds ruined it
I love your recipe thanks for sharing
this is too complicated. use just basic ingredients (any bread, egg,
butter/margarine) i do this in 3 min. throw butter or margarine in the
frypan the bread and then the egg. voila.
