Easy, Creamy, Savory Beef/Veggie Pie
After 3 years of viewers requesting I do some cooking videos on meals we like to make, I finally gave in! Here’s a quick cooking tutorial on how to make this delicious, creamy, savory, rich, cheesy, Beef and Mushroom pie. OR, you can substitute the mushrooms for another veggie! Peas or potatoes would also be really good! My hubby is a mushroom lover though, so that’s how we made ours. NOPE this is not one of those meals you make when you’re on a diet. But I never said it was low cal 😛 I’ve tweaked some of the ingredients and made it a little more my own, so don’t be scared to add a few other spices or little extra this or that! Have fun with it :o) Prep time: 35 minutes. Makes 6 servings. The video tells you everything you need and each step you need to take! Let me know if you have any questions!
INGREDIENTS:
1box Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on box
1lb. lean ground beef
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
3/4 cup chopped onions
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 envelope savory herb with garlic soup mix (from 2.4-oz. pkg.)
1/2 cup half-and-half (For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s just half milk, half cream).
1(3-oz.) pkg. Garlic cream cheese, softened (We use 4 oz to give it a little more creamy-ness 😛 hehe)
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese (We usually use a cup or more! It’s definitely better with extra cheese ;o)
