Is that person okay to eat the flour in the roux?

  8. Connie Leyva

I was wondering the same thing as Mason K is that person ok to eat the
flour in the roux and if so why cause you said thats why you didnt put the
panko on top wich would have been cooked as well????

This looks delicious. Good call on making your own roux. I’m going to have
try that! Also, just out of curiosity, you did say that normally you would
have used a buttery panko bread crumb topping except then person you are
making this for cannot have flour? The roux is made with butter an flour so
I was just wondering about that? Is your friend ok? Does cooking the flour
in a roux not make them allergic somehow? Lol

Glad to see I’m not the only one who can’t get enameled cast iron white
again lol. I use mine so hard. Great for browning, frying, slow cooking and
goes right into the oven and can be brought to the table. The staining
doesn’t effect anything it just shows you use it. :o)
