Omgsh!! Half of these people on here need to get a darn life!!! Getting made over nothing!! Doesn't matter if its from Indonesia, Thai, Laos, etc. It's FOOD, enjoy it and stop whining about the small thing. Chef John did said it's Thai style so go figure.

Oh no, you took out the best part of the lemongrass! Just cut out the roots and the green parts. It's the white parts with a bit of purple that is most important for this dish.
