Beef Ale/Stout Stew

Food Ingredients:
1 pound Lean Chuck, Rib, Brisket, or Plate Beef For Stewing 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 large sliced in half 1 12 Ox. bottle Guinness Extra Stout beer 2 cups baby carrots 1 4 Inch Stem Fresh Rosemary 1 Bay Leaf 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Recipe preparation:
1 Combine all ingredients except the cornstarch and water in a crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. 2 Combine the cornstarch and required amount of water based on package instructions and stir into the stew 3 Cover the crockpot and allow the stew to cook an additional 10 minutes, until thickened slightly.
