Wild Rice Casserole
Food Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter Leftover turkey, chicken, or 1 cup wild rice 1/2 cup chopped onion 3/4 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup mushrooms 3 cups salt-free bouillon or chicken stock 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning Salt and pepper optional Toasted slivered almonds
Recipe preparation:
1 Brown rice, onion, and celery in the butter. 2 Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. 3 Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is cooked. 4 Add meat. Stir. Sprinkle toasted almonds on top.
