Ribeye Steak

Food Ingredients:
1 beef rib-eye steak, 3/4″ thick – (abt 8 oz Coarsely-ground black pepper to taste Mashed potatoes (optional) 2 teaspoons chopped flat-leaf parsley for garnish

Recipe preparation:
1 Sprinkle steak with pepper on both sides, pressing it into meat. Broil or grill 3 inches from heat source: 3 minutes per side for rare, 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, and 5 minutes per side for medium. 2 Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let rest 3 minutes before cutting into slices 1/2-inch wide. Overlap the slices on a dinner plate and, if desired, serve with a generous dollop of mashed potatoes. Sprinkle all over with chopped parsley. 3 This recipe yields 1 serving. 4 Comments: Be careful not to overcook your steak. (See the times in the recipe.) Let it rest before serving for the juices to settle.
