Chef Ruchi Bharani is up with an amazing way of spicing up crispy, oven-baked potatoes by seasoning them with paprika, mixed herbs and garlic. Watch the video to check out this mouth-watering starter recipe.
– In a pan, heat the olive oil.
– Add the finely chopped garlic and saute it for a few seconds.
– Add spring onions along with some chilli flakes/paprika.
– Add the boiled baby potatoes to the above ingredients and mix them well.
– Add the mixed herbs and give it a nice toss.
– Add a little bit of pepper and salt to taste.
– Add the spring onions (green part) and toss the ingredients well.
– Remove the potatoes into a baking dish and grate some cheese over it.
– Also, sprinkle a little bit of pizza seasoning over the potatoes.
– Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes and bake the potatoes for about five minutes or until the cheese melts.

Beth’s Rigatoni Bolognese Recipe
Serves 4-6
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb (450 g) Rigatoni
1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
1 yellow onion, diced
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tsp (5 ml) Italian seasoning
freshly cracked pepper to taste
1 ½ tsp (7.5 ml) salt (separated)
2 15-ounce cans (890 ml TOTAL) of tomato sauce
1 15-ounce can (445 ML) diced tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped basil + 1 tsp for garnish
freshly grated parmesan cheese to taste
METHOD:
In a large stock pot cook rigatoni according to package instructions.
Meanwhile in a large skillet sauté onion in olive oil until tender. Add beef, Italian seasoning, ½ tsp of salt and freshly cracked pepper. Brown meat on all sides until cooked through.
Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, garlic and 1 tsp salt. Simmer for 30 mins. Add fresh basil.
Drain pasta and toss with sauce. Garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and more chopped basil.

Easy kids veggie nugget recipe & great kids party food. Freeze the veggie nuggets for up to 2 months.

Boil potatoes and sweet potatoes until tender. Add peas cook for further minute. Drain, Mash. Add carrot, spread onto tray to cool. Form into nuggets, roll in breadcrumbs. Spray with oil. Bake at 220C for 15 minutes. Serve with rocket and sauce.
Ingredients:
1 small sweet potato, peeled and chopped
1 large cream delight potato, peeled and chopped
1 cup Woolworths Select frozen green peas
1 medium carrot, grated
1 cup Woolworths Free from gluten bread crumbs
Woolworths Select extra virgin olive oil spray
Baby rocket leaves, to serve
Tomato sauce or sweet chilli sauce, to serve
Method:
1. Cook sweet potato and potato in a saucepan of boiling water for 10 minutes or until tender. Add peas, cook for further minute. Drain. Mash. Set aside. Add grated carrot. Mix to combine. Spread mixture onto a baking paper-lined oven tray to cool. Refrigerate 10 minutes or until chilled. Preheat oven to 220°C fan-forced. Line two large baking trays with baking paper. Place breadcrumbs on a plate.
2. Form tablespoonful of mixture into patties. Press into breadcrumbs, shaking off excess. Place on prepared trays. Spray nuggets lightly with oil. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden. Serve with baby rocket leaves and sauce.
Tip 1: These are gluten free nuggets and great for birthday parties and lunchboxes.
Tip 2: Place crumbed nuggets on a baking tray and freeze for 15 minutes. Place in snap lock bags, label and freeze for up to 2 months.
Tip 3: You can spread the mixture out to 2cm thick and use shaped cookie cutters instead of forming patties.

How To Make Baklava – It’s Easy To Make This Delicious Dessert By Rockin Robin
Let me show you how to make Baklava. It takes time but it is very easy to make. This has such a nice buttery flakey pastry layered with toasted walnuts and almonds and cinnamon. Then we top it with an orange infused honey syrup. Delicious!

Ingredients:
1 package of phyllo dough, defrosted
3 cups of raw nuts of your choice, I used 2 cups of raw walnuts and 1 cup of sliced almonds
1/2 cup butter
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
pinch of ground cloves
Syrup:
1/2 cup honey
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
zest of 1 orange
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Make the syrup first by adding the water and sugar to a sauce pan over medium high heat. Stir until sugar has disolved. Add the honey and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat to a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest. Let syrup cool completely.
Place the walnuts and almonds on a cookie sheet in a single layer and then bake for 8 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. or until the nuts are a golden brown. Be careful not to burn the nuts.
Let the nuts cool completely and then place in a food processor until they are ground up. Do not over grind and make pasty.
Pour the nuts into a bowl and add the cinnamon and cloves and stir to combine.
Now to assemble the baklava.
Unroll the phyllo dough. Cut the dough in half with scissors to fit the baking dish. I used an 8 x 8 in the video. Cover 3/4 of the phyllo dough with a piece of saran wrap and then a damp towel so it doesn’t dry out as you work with a portion of it.
Brush the bottom and sides of the baking dish with butter. Don’t over-do it in the butter department as it will make the baklava soggy.
Then lay 10 pieces of phyllo dough, one at a time in the dish. Lightly butter each piece of dough after you place it in the dish.
After the 10th piece of dough, add 3 to 4 tablespoons of the nut mixture to the layer. Spread the nuts out with your hands to cover the layer.
Then add 3 more pieces of phyllo dough, one at a time, buttering each piece as you place it in the dish. Then add another layer of nuts.
Alternate between 3 layers of dough to one layer of nuts until all the nuts are used.
Finish with 10 sheets of phyllo dough for the top. Butter the last piece on top too. Then cut the baklava into squares or diamonds before baking in the oven.
Bake for 40 to 55 minutes or until it is golden brown.
Once you remove the baklava from the oven, pour the cooled honey mixture over the top. Let it sit for at least 4 hours before eating. Store on your counter, uncovered.
This is a delicious dessert that truly is easy to make. It’s just a little time consuming to put together.
You can also use any nuts you desire. Pecans are nice to use as well as a combination of mixed nuts. Just use raw nuts and then toast them in the oven.

Tips:
Remember to butter each dough layer lightly with melted butter.
Cut the baklava before baking. It’s just easier.
Roast the nuts.
Make sure to cool the syrup completely and add it to the hot out of the oven baklava.
