I have been meat and sugar free for 40 days now and have tried several
brands of store bought veggie burger patties. Some are good taste-wise,
some not so good; even bad. But they are all expensive! Sometimes $4.99 for
2 patties. I found a recipe with black beans and quinoa that was ok
although they still fell apart even with eggs in the mix. Next I wanted to
try yours and now I have. The brown rice and kidney beans firm up more. I
broiled them in a toaster over instead of a skillet the way you did. I put
quite a bit of jalapeno yellow mustard in and although I couldn’t really
taste it after it was done, it blended the ingredients together well and I
knew it was going to taste great by the smell of the mix. I don’t have a
food processor so I just mashed the ingredients by hand. Yes, you can pick
these up with your fingers and they are very tight. A super great recipe.
