Apple Crumb Cake

Food Ingredients:
1/2 cup soft butter 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 cup sugar 1 cup sour cream 2 cups sifted flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and chopped (fresh peaches, plums, cherries or berries may also be used) 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup sugar cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional) 1/4 cup softened butter 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup Bisquick or pancake m cup sugar

Recipe preparation:
1 Cream butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream and vanilla in large mixing bowl. 2 Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. 3 Stir flour mixture into butter mixture and blend until smooth. 4 Combine apples, cinnamon and sugar in small bowl. 5 Spread half of the batter into lightly greased 9 inch square pan. 6 Top with apple mixture. 7 Spread remaining cake batter on top of apples. 8 In a small bowl, blend butter, flours and sugar to make crumbs with pastry blender or large fork. Mixture should be crumbly. 9 Top cake with crumbs. Lightly dust crumbs with cinnamon. 10 Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until cake tests done with toothpick.
