Recipe ingredients and directions:
1 qt. hot tea
1 gal. sweet cider
1 cup Apple Jack
1 cup lemon juice
2 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp allspice
1 Tbsp whole cloves
1 tsp mace
3 sticks cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
10 spiced crabapples
Combine tea, cider, lemon juice, brown sugar, spices, and salt.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Add crab apples. Serve hot.
Use additional sticks of cinnamon for stirrers – 1 in each glass.
