Sweet & Savory Pies: A Love Story

When Philly native Sarah Curtis-Fawley travelled to Australia for what she just intended to be a year, fate seems to have intervened. Marrying, and eventually opening up a bakery (the Pacific Pie Company) in Portland, Oregon specializing in sweet & savory pies, was simply not part of the original plan.

Ah pies – the ultimate food. Depending on what you use to make it you can
have lunch or dessert. You can place virtually all the food groups into one
round and tasty dish. If I’m in the area I’d sure pick up a few pies. For
now I’ll try making a few my self with the local stuff I can find here. I’m
thinking of a whole grain crust with fresh chicken with home grown garden
    vegetables. 😀
