Try my sweet and spicy black bean recipe. We are using jalapeños for the heat and brown sugar and honey for the sweet.

This black bean recipe is fantastic and easy if you are entertaining because you can place the finished product in a crockpot and it takes care of itself and people really love it. It is also gluten-free.
The sweet and spicy flavors are fantastic together along with those fire roasted diced tomatoes.
Just remember to caramelize those onions for a good 30 minutes which gives this a flavor boost.
So try this recipe. I’m sure you will enjoy it. It’s also a great source of protein too. This would go great with my cilantro lime rice. Check out that video here: http://youtu.be/4IggYxchETs
Enjoy,

I was surprised to see that cumin wasn’t included among the seasonings. Oh
well… I’ll just have to leave it out and dat’ be dat’.
I always do a Cuban black bean recipe, super similar to this, but this
looks delish!!! The honey looks like it will be nice touch to the flavor!
Can’t wait to try this recipe. Thanks for posting!
name of music please
Hi. Love your recipe. Did you pre cook the beans before?
What can I substitute for the fire roasted tomatoes? It’s hard to find it
where I live. Can it be regular tomatoes?
thanks for sharing this recipe… I have family visiting this weekend and
I was looking for a great bean recipe and this is it….
Wow can’t wait to try it….
Just my two cents here: Add the tomatoes to the pan first and after that
put everything in the pot! This way you do not leave any flavors in the pan
since all the stuff at the bottom (sorry, not an english native speaker) of
the pan will combine with the liquid of the tomatoes.
