What does artichoke taste like?
Idk if it’s because I’m from the Caribbean, but the thought of me eating
that freaks me out. It’s like eating a pinecone or something. Just doesn’t
look eatable
I feel so bad, i have never tried artichokes 🙁
Never ever tasted an artichoke in my life. I really want to try them
though, can anyone tell me what flavour they have or what other vegetable
flavour they resemble?
Omg I just saw this on instagran and then it has posted here, amazing
things these are!!! So impressive. Dear laura, mozzarella is really
expensive here in indonesia. Can you pleeeaaaaseeee PLEASE make a homemade
mozzarella recipe?? There are some when I googled it, but im positive yours
would be the best. Thanks in advance dear. Xoxo
How do you know when you get to the heart?
I’ve never had artichokes. What does it taste like? Does anyone know?
oh dear. i’ve been eating and cooking artichokes since i was a child (more
than 50 years), and those are so over-cooked, laura! (i’m around the same
age as your nonna, and while she is a wonderful cook, and i love her
dearly, i don’t agree with her on this recipe.) sorry, but this is one
recipe i’m not going to do – i prefer my own way.
Do you not eat the leaves?
Mmm…my nonna used to make these too…i haven’t had them in years. Thanks
for the recipe. ..do you have a recipe for fried zucchini flowers? If not
could you make those for an episode of Laura in the kitchen. Thanks
How do you eat those though? It looks like Laura is eating the stuffing off
of the leaves but she is leaving the leaves behind, or is there substance
in the leaf we are supposed to eat? Sorry for such a “kindergarten”
question but this is one of those foods I have never had the courage to try
before. “Loved” the story though about how this food reminds Laura of her
childhood. :-)
Laura, I have to say that your camera guy is doing an amazing job! Always
showing what i want to see when i want to see it! Love your videos and
thank you so much for doing such incredible work!
A lot of people are scared of artichokes. Not our favorite dish.
I need your help. I bought pizza dough and when I tried to rollit off mit
out it kept snapping back and then I couldn’t get peel and it made a mess
on my stone.
I’ve only had artichoke chips but this definitely looks like something I
need to try! Thank you, Laura! You have brought back my passion for cooking
and I love you for it!
Did I just hear Laura Vitale Extra virgin olive oil at 5:40? Is that a hint
to something or did it totally go over my head?
Laura these seriously look amazing! Cant wait to try out this recipe :)
i feel sorry for people who have never had artichokes before! usually, i
go for the marinated ones in a glass jar or can. here’s a good recipe that
I like to make with nonmarinated canned artichokes hearts: artichoke
tempura! you just mix equal parts water and flour for the batter, i
usually just do one cup of COLD water with one cup of flour…add a little
salt and the batter is done. then you dry off the artichokes with a paper
towel before dipping them in the batter and then you pan fry them. super
yummy. super easy and fast way to make fried artichoke hearts!
I absolutely love artichokes. My Nonna would make them too. Very similar to
how your Nonna makes them except we stuff them with peas instead of bread.
we saute the peas in the olive oil garlic mixture and the peas take on the
taste of the artichokes. also we saute the ends in the olive oil garlic pea
mixture. They are to die for. Makes me miss my Nonna. Thank you for your
videos. your cooking is very much like her cooking. she was also from
Italy. thank you again
“I feel like I need to be alone…” Haha! Love you Laura!
