Strawberry and Kiwi Kebabs
Food Ingredients:
24 ripe strawberries 4 inches ripe kiwis, peeled and cut quartered 1/4 cup heavy cream 2 egg whites 1 tablespoon lemon zest 1/2 tp. Vanilla 3 tablespoons sugar 1 Hershey Bar, grated
Recipe preparation:
1 Preheat your oven to 400. 2 In a zip lock bag place strawberries and kiwis. In a bowl add the cream, lemon zest and 1 Tbsp of the sugar, mixing well and pour into the zip lock bag with the fruit and marinate for 1 hour. 3 Gently slide fruit on the skewers alternating the strawberries and kiwis, and place on a baking dish. 4 Beat eggs whites until stiff. 5 Slowly stirring in the remaining sugar and vanilla, continue beating for another 1 ½ minutes. 6 Put a large spoonful of the egg whites on each fruit and sprinkle with the chocolate. 7 Change the oven setting to broil and place baking dish 6 inches under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, until the egg whites brown and serve immediately.
