Hi XL Lee, yes – the sauce should cook for 90 minutes so that the flavors
will develop. The 90-minute cook time is also specified in the recipe at
Allrecipes.com (URL under video). Hope that helps – Happy Cooking!
I’m Sicilian and this dish is not Italian at all
Thank you for your question, Haneen. The egg acts as a binder for these
meatballs, so we’d recommend leaving it in the recipe. If you are allergic
to eggs, try using an egg replacement or you can mash one boiled potato
instead and add it to the meatballs.
If there is anything i hate more is sugar in tomato sauce.. that is so Chef

Why is the egg necessary? Can I substitute it with something else
Looks delicious…I will have to try it this weekend. To all the negative
ninnies…get a life…it’s just a helpful-hint video…..and it seems
everyone has a grandma with the greatest recipe yet they are looking here
for a recipe………ahem….How does the serenity prayer go……
I’m making this for my mom right now
Is the ONE bae leafe necessary
These look great, we have also made meatballs on our channel 🙂
You did a fine job, my father was Sicilian and my mother was Italian from
around Rome. for the critics. there are a lot of countries that eat
meatballs. Italian meatballs could be made with different meats. in Italy a
lot depends on what area you are from, and how poor you are, Everybody
calls Potato dumplings Gnocchi, my folks called them cavadella, this is
because of the area my mother was from. similar to cavatelli that are
dumplings but no potaoes. I sometimes make them with Ricotta. anyway. my
mother always precooked the meatballs and she used pork neckbones and
sometimes pork skin. as a meat base for the gravy, yes its gravy, we always
called it spaghetti gravy. Sauce is made with a vegetable base and gravy
with a meat base. anyway what difference does it make. We are not in Italy.
The taste is what counts. you want to make a good cheap spaghetti sauce,
quick, a package of good seasons dry salad dressing, a couple of cans of
tomato sauce, throw in some pork or sausage, tomato paste and anything
else, peas for the Bolognese touch. enjoy.nice video.
Can I use anything else besides the whole tomatoes for the sauce?
Made this dish for the family tonight. The aroma filled our home and it was
a delight to enjoy our first home made spaghetti and meatball meal. This is
a keeper.
