How To Make Smothered Pork Chops with onions and gravy

Smothered Pork Chops Recipe

Soak your pork chops in some salt water for an hour, then rinse

Meanwhile, chop up a large size onion into thin pieces

Season your pork chops with Season salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, paprika, and parsley flakes

Get a bowl and combine 1 cup of chicken broth with 2 tsp of corn starch and stir until well blended and cornstarch is dissolved

Place a pan over medium heat. Add about 6 tbs of butter and then add your chopped onions

Add your pork chops and allow them to fry for about 15 minutes

Add your broth mixture and cover with a top (you dont need a top)

Allow the pork chops to cook until the juice simmers down and turns into a nice thick gravy

    Hello Darling…..I made your Smothered Porks Chops! My husband lost his mind!, I didn't know for sure if he wanted to try this, so I fried him a few pieces. When he smelled and tasted them, he loved it! I didn't have chicken broth, so I dissolved a chicken bouillion. Keep the receipes coming. I do consider myself a good cook, but you can always spice it up!!!

    1. You used margarine NOT butter (read the tub) 2. you cooked away the gravy (the part you wanted to be sooo shiny) 3. you scraped up the Teflon in your pan with the spoon and fork (always use wooden/plastic or silicone utensils in a Teflon pan) otherwise the recipe sounds great, the flavors would be awesome!
