INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:
2 Large Potatoes (Washed, Peeled, Diced)
1 Large Carrot (Washed, Peeled, Diced)
1 Large Brown Onion (Peeled and Chopped)
2 Cloves of Garlic (Crushed)
Salt and Pepper (to season)
2 Litres (8 Cups) of Liquid Chicken Stock
2 Cups (about 500g) of Mixed Soup Grains (Barley, Split Peas, Lentils – or your own choices)
Shredded Cooked Chicken Breast / Diced Bacon (optional)
Serves 6-8
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 2-3 hours (on HIGH) or 5-6 hours (on LOW)
ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC

I have had a slow cooker for two years now and haven’t even taken it out of
the box yet but I plan to this winter. You say 6 hours but I (and most
people) go to work for 8 or 9 hours. Could it be left for 8 or 9 hours?
how many spoons of the powdered chicken broth did you use in 8 cups of
water
No soaking the soup mix? or is it okay since it’s cooking away slowly?
Is there going to be a difference in flavor if you use a high setting?
What size is your crockpot? I think mine is smaller, so I want to be able
to adjust the ingredients accordingly
