    Thank you for your questions, Dubois Evans.  If you prefer your apples just slightly tender, we'd recommend either cutting them into larger slices or under cooking them a bit, that way they will hold up together better when baking in a pie.  Also, when adding this filling to the pie, you might want to add more apples and less of the liquid. Enjoy!

    I always wondered about that sauce that comes with all the pies that clear almost brownish GEL if you will so this is it!! My question is after adding the apples to the water mixture that should soften them some right? Then you have to bake them it wont be too much for the apples? Meaning I hope they wouldnt get too soupy in the pie. This is a great recipe/method I will be trying this in a few weeks thanks in advance!!!
