Nut Crust Chocolate Apple Pie

Food Ingredients:
2 cups /hazelnuts 1/2 cup Brazil nuts 1/2 cup walnuts (use your favorite combo of nuts) 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt optional: spices for crust cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg 1 egg, beaten 2 tablespoons maple syrup cup dark chocolate cup coconut milk 1/4 cup almond slivers 3 organic apples 2 teaspoons butter 2 ounces dark chocolate, melted 2 tablespoons rapadura (unrefined cane sugar) 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon cardamom 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt

Recipe preparation:
1 Crust: Blend nuts in food processor until powder. 2 Mix nuts with egg, maple syrup, salt, and spices. 3 Spread in a pie shell evenly and cook at 350F till the crust is golden. 4 Filling: Melt chocolate and mix in coconut milk until blended. 5 Spread in the bottom of crust. 6 Sprinkle a layer of slivered almonds. 7 Peel and core apples and then cut in thin slices. 8 In a pan melt the butter and add apples with sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Cook until just tender. 9 Pour apples into the pie crust and spread evenly. 10 Sprinkle the remaining sliced almonds and swirl the remaining dark chocolate. 11 Refrigerate 2 hours, then voila’ a unique and delicious apple pie!
