    Why have Plain French Toast when you can try this Fancy Pants Cheese-Filled French Toast Recipe? A little creamy cheese and cinnamon ginger apples can transform your breakfast into a 10-year old's dream breakfast.

    Ingredients

    • French Toast Ingredients:
    • BREAD (sliced, stale)
    • 1½ cups MILK
    • 4 EGGS
    • BUTTER for frying, and apples
    • APPLES (peeled, sliced)
    • CANDIED GINGER (sliced)
    • WALNUTS (toasted)
    • 8 oz CREAM CHEESE (soft)
    • 15 oz RICOTTA CHEESE
    • CINNAMON (to taste)
    • optional: sugar and vanilla.

    Instructions

    Stale bread makes great French toast, slicing bread ahead of time is a great idea–at least a few hours ahead of time, but ideally overnight.


    Mix the cream cheese and ricotta cheese together. Be sure to set your cream cheese out ahead of time to soften, this will make mixing it with the ricotta cheese much easier. I’ll often mix these ingredients ahead of time. If making a smaller amount, the cheese mix is about a 2 to 1 ratio of ricotta to cream cheese.


    To make the apple mix, peel, slice, and remove the cores of the apples. Apples vary quite a bit in size, but I usually end up with about 4-6 cups of apple slices, and I generally use gala or fuji apples, which take little time to cook down.
    Melt about 2 Tbsp of butter in a pot and add apples. Mix with butter and cook over medium heat. Add candied ginger slices–I think ½ to 1 cup is a good amount of candied ginger–but there is no wrong amount. Add 1-2 Tbsp of sugar and cinnamon as desired, Mix
    and cover and cook about 20 minutes, until apples soften and get juicy, for extra liquidy goodness, stir in about ¼ cup water. You want the apples to be a little syrupy, that way you won’t have to use any maple syrup with the French toast. Once the apples are cooked to your liking, cover and set aside.


    Mix the French toast batter. A basic batter is eggs and milk–and I’m also adding cinnamon–but often folks will add a little sugar or vanilla extract. Combine the milk, eggs, and cinnamon to taste (½ tsp is a good amount). Mix well and then pour some into a shallow bowl–or all–it depend on the size of your shallow bowl; you don’t want the batter to be so deep that it runs into the cheesy part of your French toast sandwich.


    To build the French toast sandwich, simply spread the cheese mixture onto a slice of toast and top with another slice, making a basic cheese sandwich.


    You can also add toasted walnuts into the sandwich for a nice crunch, or simply top the toast later with toasted nuts–but definitely add nuts at some point, cause the crunchy contrast makes the dish, and toasted walnuts are awesome.
    Toast walnuts on a baking sheet and roast at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-7 minute. As soon as the nuts begin to color up, remove them from the oven.


    Once you’ve constructed the cheesy French toast sandwich, heat a little butter on a non-stick skillet on medium heat.
    Place the sandwich in the batter and let soak a few moments and then turn and batter the other side.
    Place sandwich in the skillet and cook on medium heat until golden brown, turn and cook other side and remove from the heat.


    Slice French toast and top with apples and walnuts (a dusting of powdered sugar is optional). For a splash of color, add fresh berries or mint.


    Serve French toast with maple syrup, or without–I find the cooked apples to be syrupy enough, and the warm cheesy center keeps the French toast from being too dry.

    This video will demonstrate how to make a simple pasta from scratch. Once this technique is mastered, you can use this dough as a base for any number of basic variations.

    Ingredients Used

    9oz “00” Pasta Flour (by weight)
    6oz Whole Eggs (by weight, or about 3 whole eggs plus one yolk)

    Note: Although the ingredients for the pasta dough were weighed out in this video, it was mainly to give people who have never made fresh pasta before an accurate starting point. Once you’ve made pasta dough a couple of times, you can easily “eye ball” the dough measurements. Bottom line, you want to end up with a fairly stiff dough that is still somewhat workable.

    Notes about different types of flours:

    In this video I demonstrated how to make fresh pasta dough using 00 Pasta Flour. If you can not find 00 flour in your area, a national brand of All Purpose Flour (AP) will also work.

    Many other types of flours are used to make pasta dough depending on region and desired qualities of the finished pasta. In Southern Italy, hard durum wheat is normally used to make pasta dough while a softer style of wheat is preferred in Northern regions. Other forms of fresh pasta dough can include buckwheat, rye, barley, corn and rice flours as well as chickpea and chestnut.

    However, fresh pasta is rarely made exclusively from the additional flours listed above, but are more commonly added to semolina, durum or 00 flour to give a unique flavor and texture.

    Hi everyone and welcome to the giallozafferano kitchen! Today we’ll be preparing a sweet treat that’s also a great idea for Valentine’s day: the waffles. The waffle is a batter cake that is cooked between 2 hot plates, so we’ll need a waffle iron like this. It’s also ideal for a breakfast with your beloved!

    But let’s see together what ingredients we’ll need to make them:

    • ½ cup (130 g) of butter
    • 3 medium eggs
    • 1 pinch of salt
    • just over 1 cup (140 g) of flour • ½ cup (110 g) of sugar
    • ¼ tsp of vanilla powder
    • 2 tbsp of powdered sugar

    Let’s make together the waffles:

    First of all, separate the egg whites from the yolks, combine the egg yolks with half of the sugar in a large bowl and beat with a whisk until you have a fluffy, foamy mixture. Now pour in just under ½ cup of melted butter, after it has cooled a bit… and blend well.
    After adding the butter, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and the remaining half of the sugar. Now fold the stiff egg whites into the yolk mixture, very gently.
    Finally, add the sifted flour and vanilla powder to the resulting mixture, little by little, and blend them together
    .
    It’s time to use the waffle maker, so heat the iron until very hot and brush the 2 plates with the remaining butter… then pour ¼ of the batter… my waffle iron is 7 inches (18 cm) in diameter… drop the batter in the middle, in this way… and close it. Let it cook for at least 4-5 minutes, or until the waffle turns golden brown.
    As you can see, the waffle is nice and golden brown, so lift it out of the iron, place on a dish and continue with the others.
    Once all the waffles are cooked, trim the edge, perhaps on a cutting board… in order to get a lovely heart shape, perfect for Valentine’s day. So you can serve the waffle whole or divided into sections.

    Finally, sprinkle the waffles with powdered sugar, and top them with maple syrup, fruit sauces, chocolate, ice cream or more… happy valentine’s day and see you next video recipe!

    This appetizer is perfect for taking to parties or serving at your own party. It’s so easy to put together and serve.

    You definitely make this for the Superbowl! I think the best way to serve this is in a crockpot. It keeps it warm for the entire time, and believe me, it doesn’t last long once people start digging in.


    Ingredients:

    1 8oz package of full fat cream cheese
    2 to 3 cooked chicken breast or rotisserie chicken, deboned, skinned and shredded
    1/2 cup Ranch or Blue cheese dressing
    1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    Shiracha sauce, to taste

    Directions:
    Place all of the ingredients in a pot and heat over medium low heat. Once every this is hot and the cheese has melted, place the dip into a crock pot and serve with vegetables like sliced celery, carrots etc.

    You can also serve it with chips and/or sliced french bread (baguette).

    The other alternative to serving this is to place the dip into a baking dish and bake in the oven at 425 degrees F. for 15- 20 minutes or until everything is nice and hot and bubbly.

    Also with the shriracha sauce, go ahead and taste the tip while adding this and adjust the heat to your liking. Some people like it hot and spicy so add a bunch!

    Ingredients:

    Chicken (with bones): 1 kg
    Ginger garlic paste: 2 tablespoons
    Red chilli powder: 3 teaspoons
    Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
    Spices (garam masala powder): 1 teaspoon
    Coriander powder (dhaniya powder): 1 teaspoon
    Cumin powder (zeera powder): 1 teaspoon
    Cubeb powder (kabab chini powder): 1/4th teaspoon
    Salt: 2 teaspoons
    Lemon: 2
    Red food colour: 1 or 2 pinches (optional)
    Oil for frying

    Procedure:

    1. Wash medium sized pieces of chicken and drain the water thoroughly.

    2. Add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, spices or garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, cubeb or kabab chini powder, salt, lemon juice and add red colour which is optional.

    3. Mix well and keep this aside for marination for about 3 to 4 hours.

    4. After 3 to 4 hours, add oil for frying to a pan.

    5. When the oil is hot, lower the marinated chicken pieces into the oil.

    6. Fry on both sides till the chicken pieces turn brown.

    Deep Fried Chicken is ready.

    No-Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake Recipe

    No Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake, many of us are familiar with it since childhood, in various shapes and forms. Chocolaty, rich dessert made with crushed biscuits, chocolate syrup and toasted nuts, hardly not to fall in love with it.

    Ingredients
    Makes about 10 servings

    28 oz (800g) digestive biscuits, tea biscuits
    1 cup (100g) nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts), toasted, slightly chopped

    Chocolate Syrup
    1 cup (200g) sugar
    1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 cup (240 ml) water
    2/3 cup (150g) butter
    1 tsp vanilla extract

    Chocolate Ganache
    1/2 cup (120 g) whipping cream (35% fat)
    4 oz (120g) bittersweet chocolate, chopped

    1. Break the biscuits (cookies) into small pieces into a large bowl.
    2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium high heat and toast walnuts or hazelnuts for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently to toast evenly. Add toasted nuts over the biscuits.
    3. Prepare the chocolate syrup. In a medium sauce pan add sugar and cocoa powder. Stir to combine and gradually add water, while stirring to combine well. Add the butter and place over medium heat. Bring to boil for about 7-8 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Set aside to cool slightly for about 10-15 minutes.
    4. Pour the syrup over the biscuits and nuts and combine well using a large spatula or spoon.
    5. Transfer the mixture into a 9 inch (23 cm) non-stick round cake ware (like the one I’ve used from Delicake) or use a 9 inch (23 cm) springform pan, bottom lined with parchment paper.
    6. Press well using the back of the spoon or an offset spatula.
    7. Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to 1 hr before preparing the chocolate ganache.
    8. Prepare Chocolate Ganache. Place cream into a small saucepan and heat until just begins to boil.
    9. Pour hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let sit for 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
    10. Pour ganache over the chocolate biscuit cake and refrigerate to set for about 3-4 hours or overnight before serving.
    11. Decorate with toasted nuts if desired, cut into slices and serve.

You can even make this as an evening snack or for lunch box for your kids, because this is healthy too with all the veggies!

    Ingredients:
    Bread – 6 slices;
    Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilli – finely chopped/minced, 1 tsp each;
    Onion – sliced, 1/2 cup;
    Tomatoes – chopped/crushed, 1/2 cup;
    Vegetables – any veggies of your choice e.g., cabbage, green beans, peas, bell peppers (capsicum), cauliflower, carrots, spring onions, mushrooms etc.;
    Coriander leaves/ Cilantro to garnish;
    Lime/lemon juice – 1tsp;
    Mustard seeds and cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp each;
    Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp;
    Red chilli powder and Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp each;
    Salt to Taste;
    Oil – 2 tbsp.

    Preheat oven to 325F

    Season pork chops and 2 Tablespoons of flour with salt and pepper.

    Add 2 Tablespoons oil to hot pan on a medium flame.

    Dredge pork chops in seasoned flour and knock off excess. Add pork chops to hot oil. Brown both sides and place on an oven safe plate. Put into preheated oven.

    Add 4 or 5 sage leaves and on clove of sliced garlic to pan. When the garlic starts to get some color remove garlic and sage. Add 1/4 of a medium sliced onion and cook onion until slightly brown. Add 1/4 cup chicken stock and season with salt and pepper. When the stock has reduced 50% add 2 Tablespoons of butter and swirl to combine butter.

    This is a great breakfast casserole that you can whip up in minutes especially if you use pre cooked bacon like I did. Do serve it with some salsa on top either jar or fresh. Sliced avocado is good too.

    You can also customize this casserole with sausage instead of bacon or leave both out. But I think these really add to the flavor. You can also use any cheese you like or a combination works too. I sometimes use cheddar and monterey jack cheese.
