why sometimes do the fire appear and is it dangerous? like at 1.45.

Terrible video. He does give a few good tips, such as not overcrowding the
pan, but all in all pretty piss poor. He doesn’t talk much about when to
add the ingredients, which is a key point in stir frying (or really any
kind of cooking). There’s no mention of sauces either. I also agree with
others that you shouldn’t stir fry with non-stick. Gave a thumbs-down to
    this one.

this is not one of his better videos. High heat cooking (which is
basically what stir frying is) and non stick does NOT go together. And the
reason the wok is rounded is not because so you can toss the food…you can
toss the food in a flat pan…it’s because it concentrates the heat in the
    center of the wok.

    I really like that pan.

What sauces do you add in?
Chop chop I’ve got a people coming..

You need to buy a Carbon steel wok. This is a frying pan. Non stick is a
big no no. Very bad for the health. If you know what you are doing a
steel pan does not stick either (after you seasoned it properly.

You can buy it in the chinese shop for very very cheap and lasts long time
    (your whole life basicly).

Can’t toss in my cast iron wok

wok this way! Never use olive oil. And it is important to toss it RATHER
than stirring it. im surprised he said its the same thing when it definetly
isn’t…..if that was the case then wouldnt we all just stir it ffs. the
importance of tossing it is for temperature control. you are letting air
into the stir fry, hence it will affect the texture.

Fuck it, I’m just going to get my mum to do it…

I’m pretty sure he is talking basics here, educating people without stir
fry experience and not to you seasoned cooks (NPI). Chill.
