HOMEMADE HARD CANDY RECIPE: In a medium saucepan, stir together the white sugar, light corn syrup, and water.
Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil.
Once at a boil, without stirring, heat to about 300 degrees F (150 C) OR until a small amount of the syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, thin threads.
Remove from heat and stir in flavored extract and food coloring.
Pour onto a greased cookie sheet, and dust with powdered sugar.
(To make this a lollipop recipe, pour liquid into lolipop mold instead of cookie sheet)
Let cool and break/smash into pieces.
