    I’m about to make these with my mother, fresh from the garden. Been a long
    time sub and have really enjoyed your videos, thanks! I typed up your
    recipe for our reference, and figured I’d share:
    Pickles
    will keep in ziploc bags in fridge for up to 2 weeks
    remove flower end ¼” (light end) (optional)

    Brine
    2 qt water
    1 qt. 5% white vinegar
    ½ cup kosher or pickling salt
    less than ½ cup sugar

    Pack Jars (this recipe for quart jars)
    4-5 cloves of garlic
    1 bay leaf
    ¼ teaspoon mustard seed
    1 head of fresh dill
    pickling spice
    couple teaspoons of dried dill
    crushed red pepper (optional)
    red pepper or jalapenos (optional)
    ¼ teaspoon pickling crisp (optional)

    -Pack with pickles
    -Bring brine to boil and ladle into jars
    -put jars in boiling water for 10 mins (no more than 15)

    Hey there Yankee, great channel! I made about 4 dozen jars using this
    recipe. I must say this brought me back to when i was a kid and my mother
    used to make them!! Great recipe!!! crunchy tasty pickles are the best!!!
