Over the years, I’ve made a lot of chocolate chip cookie recipes. I’ve tried combinations of brown sugar and white sugar, eggs, unsalted butter and chocolate chips. I’ve even tried vegetable shortening, along with the butter and the texture was good, but flavor was lacking. With ingredients at room temperature and proper measurements, this cookie dough produces a delicious cookie. I like my cookies light and crisp, but if you prefer them a bit more soft and chewy, then you’ d simply just cook them a little less. Make homemade chocolate chip cookies for Christmas or anytime!
