Heston’s Carbonara: Heston Blumenthal Cookbook
Time lapse of me cooking Heston’s Carbonara recipe from his cookbook Heston Blumenthal at Home.
Outside Italy a carbonara is often considered to be pasta with ham and cream sauce. Italians would consider this a travesty says Heston. A carbonara sauce should consist of pancetta, garlic, beaten eggs and Parmesan. Here Heston has added onions, chilli, and peas for flavour, colour and texture.
