Granola 07 – Bean Cereals Food Recipes

Recipe ingredients and directions:

Crunchy Granola

1/2 to 1 c. coconut

4 c. rolled oats

1 c. sunflower seeds

1 c. wheatgerm

1/4-1/2 c. sesame seeds

1 c. peanuts or chopped walnuts

1 c. honey or brown sugar

1/2 c. oil

1 tbsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 325F. Mix first six ingredients together in a

large bowl.

Bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Pour honey mixture over

dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Spread on 2 greased cookie

sheets.

Bake granola around 30 minutes, stirring often. Watch closely at

the end, not allowing granola to become too dark.

Allow to cool undisturbed, then break into chunks.

Options: If using sugar, increase oil to 3/4 c. or add 1/4 c.

water Add 1 c. cornmeal; omit cinnamon.
